This engaging panel will share insights about why they ran, why hearing from you is critical to their success in office (and how they define that success), and how engaging with your voice and your experience can change laws that save lives and livelihoods.

Have you ever spoken up about an issue and wondered where you found the courage to do it? Have you shied away from opportunities to raise your voice for fear of backlash or reprisal? Raising your voice on challenging community issues can draw attention to problems or injustices, new opportunities or ideas, while cultivating a sense of unity and solidarity among community members. Speaking up helps decision-makers take meaningful action, leading to greater awareness, engagement, and action - and yet it can be very hard to do. Our panel will share what inspires them to speak up, how they find the courage to do it, and what they have learned as they address important issues to create positive change.
